This latest window and door restrictor is a great and very simple to use device and for the first time a window and door restrictor meets standards set out by the Door and Hardware Federation. A great device for balcony windows and doors were young children are in the house.

Now the weathers getting warmer and we all look forward to the summer months, parents with young children in the house will be all to aware of the problems of leaving windows and doors open.

Until now, parents wanting to protect their children from open doors and windows have been limited to using standard locking devices, which fall short of the grade 2 impact resistance standard for child safety.

ERA have developed a unique and simple to operate window and door restrictor. With it’s push to open cable lock design, which is lockable using a key, this device fitted correctly meets the British Standard 16281:2013 This is the British Standard for child protective products, fitted child resistance locking devices for windows and doors. The safety locking restrictor is ideally suited to homes with families and gives reassurance to parents that their children will be safe around open doors and windows in the home.

Available in different finishes and can be fitted to PVCu, metal doors and windows as well as wooden doors and windows. Also compliant with British Standard EN 13126-1:2011 Grade 3 impact resistance for building hardware restricted devices on windows and doors.
